PlatePace

FAQ

What is PlatePace?

An iOS food log in development for athletes who are cutting or recomping. Your daily calorie and macro targets shift depending on whether the day is a hard, easy or rest training day.

Is it available yet?

No. It is being built. Joining the waitlist gets you one email when an iOS test build opens.

Does it give medical or nutrition advice?

No. It produces estimates from the numbers you enter. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose or treat anything. If you have a medical condition or a history of disordered eating, speak to a qualified professional first.

Why ranges instead of exact numbers?

Food logging and energy burn are both estimates, so an exact figure would be false precision. Ranges are a more honest way to show what we actually know.

Does it have a food database or barcode scanner?

Not in the first version. You log meals manually, repeat previous meals, or quick-add macros.

Will it be free?

Pricing is not decided. Nothing is charged through this site, and joining the waitlist is free.

What do you store about me?

Your email and optional sport when you join the waitlist. If you accept the attribution notice, also where you came from. See the privacy page for the full list and how to have it deleted.

Android?

Not planned for the first test. iOS only.
